4 de diciembre: ¡Hola! Today we took our required pre-test for this course. We practiced pronunciation and the Spanish alphabet song. Please practice the song tonight (link above) to review pronunciation at home.
5 de diciembre: Today we learned how to greet people correctly in Spanish. Then, we talked about the Spanish alphabet and reviewed the Spanish alphabet as well. Students should practice the Spanish alphabet song at home. Click on the link above to practice the Spanish alphabet song. Further, students should complete the top section of the worksheet which was distributed at the end of the hour.
6 de diciembre: Today we reviewed el alfabeto español; placing importance on the Spanish vowels. Further, we practiced spelling words both orally and on paper. Finally, we learned a great deal of basic vocabulary (pages 2-10 - many students already know most of these words). Tonight's homework (tarea) is to complete the worksheet titled "La Práctica".
7 de diciembre: I graded yesterday's worksheet. Also, today we reviewed basic greetings. Tonight's homework is to do activity 1 on page 8 and activities 2 and 3 on page 10. All questions must be answered using a complete, Spanish sentence. Don't forget about next Thursday's quiz.

We will play a couple of challenge games to review the telling time structure. Please review the telling time power point link (above) if you need additional practice. 14 de febrero: ¡Feliz Día De San Valentín! I have Valentine's Day Candy for you today. I found some conversational hearts (written in Spanish, of course) for you to try today in class. Yesterday's telling time worksheet will be graded and reviewed in class today. We will then take a very basic quiz over telling time in Spanish. Today's class will be very short due to the pep assembly at the end of 5th hour. Next week Thursday we will be taking our chapter two test. So, students are encouraged to take their vocabulary list home over the weekend to review our words. Enjoy your weekend!

1st hour: I collected yesterday's worksheet. Then, we practiced sentence structure in Spanish. At the end of the hour, we participated in an activity to practice sentence structure. There was no written homework. However, we will be having a major chapter test next week. Please begin studying for the test.
3rd hour: I collected yesterday's worksheet. Then, there was a substitute teacher for the remainder of the hour as I was at a meeting. A short practice worksheet was handed out in class. Further, you are to do page 24, activity 16 (answering the questions in complete, Spanish sentences).

There will be a chapter test on Wednesday. There was no written homework assigned today. Students should be studying for Wednesday's test.

11 de octubre: Today we learned chapter two vocabulary words. There will be a quiz next week over the meanings and spellings of these words. There is a homework assignment for tonight. It will be in the absent work tray for you when you arrive to class tomorrow. If you are absent from school today, the assignment is due Monday.

17 de octubre: Today we reviewed vocabulary and practiced listening activities. Tonight's homework is to do activity 2 on page 46 of your text. Answer the questions using a complete, Spanish sentence. Preparaciones are due Friday. Also, we have a quiz Friday. I did not grade yesterday's crossword puzzle. But, we did go over it in class today.
